Although the Russian trumpet player and composer first proposed initially a classical direction during his military service and later at the music academy in Kiev, he was more and more influenced by Jazz music.
It’s a Jazz, which inspires Laktionov from the bigger part, a direction that he processed with deep sound spectrum and dimensional space in his music in an individual way – in his compositions can be found stylistic influences and sound elements of Freddie Hubbard and Nils Petter Molvaer. Jim’s numerous travels have cultural and a colourful, intergalactic influence on his sound.
Sound projects of the artist include: Me and the Bucket, Electric Jazzheadz und Transorient Orchestra.
